1. Who can apply for the Skill Development Training Programme (SDTP)?
- Educationally disadvantaged candidates who are school dropouts, less oriented, certificate/diploma holders of ITI/Polytechnic, undergraduates needing skill enhancement.
- Unemployed youth
- Economically weaker section
- Women candidates
- Candidates sponsored by agencies
Interested candidates can submit application forms by referring advertisements in newspapers, CIPET website, etc.
Candidates can also directly approach the nearest
CIPET centres.
2. What is the minimum age limit for getting admission in SDTP?
The candidate must have completed 18 years of age at the time of taking admission.
3. What is the selection criteria?
Selection of candidates is done by the committee based on the guidelines of the sponsoring agency.
4. What are the Infrastructure facilities available?
All CIPET centers are equipped with state-of-the-art facilities in Design, CAD/CAM/CAE, Tooling & Mould Manufacturing,
Plastics Processing, Testing and Quality Assurance. Facilities are continuously upgraded as per industry needs.
5. What is the course fee?
Course fee is not charged from candidates admitted under Skill Development Training Programme sponsored by Government agencies or PSUs.
6. Whether boarding & lodging is provided for trainees and what is the cost?
CIPET provides free boarding and lodging for candidates undergoing residential SDTP with the support of the sponsoring agency.
7. Whether any Stipend is provided during course duration?
CIPET does not directly provide stipend. If sponsors provide financial support, it is credited directly to candidates' bank accounts.
8. Do I need to purchase course materials, uniform, shoes, etc.?
No. CIPET provides course material, tool kit, uniform, shoes, etc., with the support of the sponsoring agency.
9. Whether SDTP are approved?
Yes, all SDTP programs conducted at CIPET centers are NSQF aligned and approved by NSQC.
10. How are the assessment & certification done?
Continuous assessment is conducted during the course. After successful completion, assessment and certification are done and certificates issued.
11. Whether CIPET offers any placement assistance?
Yes, CIPET along with plastics & allied industries provides placement assistance to candidates who successfully pass out.
